Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income Lawyer - Cartersville|Atlanta

Many people find obtaining Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) to be a lengthy and complicated process. If you are unable to work due to physical, mental, or emotional disabilities, we will assist you throughout the claims process to understand the qualifying conditions and requirements used by the Social Security Administration.

You are not alone and do not need to deal with the bureaucracy of dealing with the Federal Government on your own. You are entitled to receive the benefits you and your family deserve based on your condition. You can contact us online or call 1-866-382-8900 to discuss your disability.

At the Law Offices of Perrotta, Cahn & Prieto, P.C., we have knowledgeable and persistent professionals to help you navigate the complex layers of governmental red tape to gain the benefits you deserve. We will evaluate your individual circumstances, medical condition, employment history and other qualifying conditions to determine the best course of action.

First we will help determine which program is right for you.

SSDI. This is known as Title II Social Security Disability Insurance. Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a Federal program that pays a monthly income when you cannot work or can only do a limited amount of work because of a physical or mental condition or a combination of the two. You pay for SSDI through FICA taxes on your earnings. If you've worked for a minimum period of time, you may be entitled to an income from SSDI if you become disabled.

SSI. This is known as Title XVI Supplemental Security Income. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a Federal needs-based program for people who have severe medical problems that will keep them from working for one year or more, but have not paid enough quarters into Social Security to qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance. Beyond the need to meet the medical criteria for disability, qualification for SSI is also based on your financial situation including personal assets and household income.
